Tiny Turkey Day

So I moved alllllll the way up here to Utah to be close to my family, and what do they do? They all pack up and leave me for Arizona over Thanksgiving! It's ok, though. I enjoyed the whole low-key-ed-ness of the day, and not having to cook for 30 people for the first time in a long time.

Since it was just me and the kiddos, I went with just a small turkey breast as opposed to a big ol' full-blown Tom. Then why, I ask you, do I feel like a completely overstuffed turkey myself after the meal? Maybe it was the entire-blender-full of homemade salsa I made up this morning and consumed with Hallie's help? Well, technically, *I* was the one helping *HER*, but nevertheless...or maybe it was the stuffing I kept sampling before the turkey ever came out of the oven? At any rate, all I know is that by the time we sat down to eat, I was soooo done eating! Bet you can't guess what I did. That's right, I ATE ANYWAY! What is it about Thanksgiving that makes you consume massive amounts of food when you don't even feel like eating it? I had cooked all day to make this great meal, and there was NO WAY I was not going to...uh...enjoy it. Enjoy is probably a strong word here, considering the fact that I think I ended up force-feeding myself about one-and-a-half bites of everything on my plate. Is bulemia really so bad one day out of 365? I think I feel a purge coming on...

Now, for some pics of the festive occasion. I want to point out that Hallie and/or Livvi shot these. Well, not all of them, just the ones that are really blurry, really dark, or really really really bright. I have nooooo idea what happened there. But they're the only images I've got to show for the day, so do your best to enjoy them.

I feel sick. I ate too much of a cheeseball and then polished it off with some peppermint Christmas Nougats.
(above sentence was written before your call).

I am now taking my mulitiple personalities to bed. They are all very tired. Are not! Are too! Are not . . .
