I've Died and Gone to Heaven

Well, not really. But I do think there will be always freshly-cleaned carpets in heaven. I mean, I
ask you, is there anything in the world prettier than this? I just love it when the carpet cleaning man comes and takes all the nasty junk out of my carpet. Let's see...this time around, we're talking vomit stains, pee stains (no, I don't have a dog, but I have a difficult 5 year old), blue food coloring, dried-on toothpaste (from the tiny almost-two-year-old who likes to walk around brushing his teeth, then tosses the brush on the floor wherever he happens to finish), milk stains, and oh too many more to mention. I stood at my window and watched the dirty water go through that little see-through container out to the big truck, and I was rather disgusted. I'm surprised the poor guy's machine didn't start coughing and sputtering and smoking and ultimately explode. Dodged the bullet on that one. And why do they have to make that container see-through, anyway? I don't want to see that! Do I really need such a reminder of my less than stellar housekeeping skillz? "Hey lady, look at that! Your water is BLACK! Betcha didn't know your carpets were that dirty, didja?" What-ev-AH.

To even FURTHER make my day, the nice carpet cleaning man gave me my very own bottle of his super duper ultra mega strength magical spot removing solution. I think he could tell how smitten I was when I watched him spray it on the food coloring and vomit stains and they just...poof! disappeared! He doesn't give EVERYONE their own bottle, you know. (I'm pretty sure he was in love with me)

But just look at these beautiful carpet tracks! I need to go now. Wanna go stare at them for a while. HEY! KIDS! Get away from that carpet! You'll mess up the tracks...!!!

I love getting my carpets cleaned (especially those cheap Caliber carpets). I actually feel like I could lay on them after they were cleaned! As far as Taes bruise looking like a boot, I'd hate to see your dryer!

Looking at those pictures makes me feel all warm and fuzzy inside. I love making order out of chaos, and vacuum tracks are a sure sign of cleanliness and order. AND I love your little kiddos. I really miss them. Any way we can get them up here to stay for a while? I'm dead serious, why else would I keep bringing it up?

Tami--Good point, but I just "throw" shoes at the dryer. And nobody's gonna call CPS on me for that, I don't think. By the way, I told the kids the other day that we're just gonna go ahead and move into your house, since we have the key. They loved the idea of living in Taeya's old house. And I've noticed there's still electricity on, so that's a bonus. I could just do it and not tell you, but I know that you-know-who would tattle on me. Dang those nosey neighbors!

Jenna--I'd love to send them up there. There's a small matter of SCHOOL--and I'm serious, which is why *I* keep bringing THAT up! But once school is out, all bets are off. Does that count Ben? He would love it, and seriously, he's like watching NO kid at all. He's so easy and so good.(just ask Tami, a few comments up). She once told me that I was welcome to send Ben down to play, but that she couldn't guarantee that she wouldn't forget he was there and leave him. Poor Ben.

Me again--Jenna--I was thinking of you when I posted this. I knew the Monica in you would love it, and I knew you'd understand why I took the time to take actual pictures of vaccuum tracks!! (p.s. other readers, that'd be Monica Gellar, not Monica Lewinsky). But I have a secret Monica, too, Jenna. She's just not as outspoken as yours. Again, Gellar, not Lewinsky. I have to clarify everything in caes Kristi is reading, and she always is.

I would like to know what company cleaned your carpets and if they still looked clean AFTER they dried. It seems like whenever I get carpets cleaned they look FAB when the guy leaves and by the time it's fully dried and the carpet lines are gone - the dirt is still there!!!

Now I am really scared since you cleaned your carpets. ;)

I'm with Polly. Will you still love them tomorrow? (If you could sing that last line and you read it, I'd really appreciate it.) I'd like to know who they are if the above stays true.

Deb said...

Whoops... that is supposed to be "AS you read it". I know how you are about grammar!

Kristi--I was a serial killer before. How could I possibly get any scarier? Nevermind. Deb--I sang. Are you happy? And thank you for correcting your grammar. Don't make me drive to your house. And for everyone who wants to know, it's MD Carpet Cleaning. His name is Mike. (If he wasn't in love with me before, he will be now--what a good word-of-mouth advertiser I am! Doesn't get much more famous than my blog!)

Hi there- came a stalking from Kristi's blog. All the crazies come from there you know.
Just imagine how they would have looked if you did have a drooling, slobbering, peeing in the house dog!

Melinda---I KNOOOOW! Between my four kids, we've got the drooling, slobbering, and peeing covered. Oh, but the kids don't shed. Thank goodness.

Thanks so much for that sweet card you sent us! I love your carpets. I think I should take a picture of my hunter green living room carpet. It'll make you feel even BETTER about your carpet. :)
Anyhoo, love ya mucho.
