Mouth like a truck driver

First of all, we're in the midst of our beautiful monsoon season here. We had a nice storm this morning, and it was hailing a bit, and the kids wanted to go out with their umbrellas. The pictures turned out so great, I just had to put them up. I love the looks on their faces in each one. No, your eyes are not playing tricks on you. B has no pants on.
About H's vocab: Just a few minutes ago, I was in the bathroom doing my primping, and I hear this loud, repetitive banging in the playroom. I yell and ask what's going on. The response from H: "The damn door won't close!" As much as I was afraid to ask, I inquired where she learned that word. She says Harry Potter. Whew. Glad she only learned it from the inappropriate movies I let her watch, and not from me directly.

She Lived to See Five!!!!

Yes, it's true. All my threats were empty ones. She made it to her 5th birthday. And yes, I do love her, despite my many musings to the contrary. We took some cute pics and had a fun day. See the album and clever captions HERE. Or, click the Photos link at top right for birthday pics and oh so much more.

On the road again

Well, we are apparently just gluttons for punishment. We took a road trip to the Grand Canyon this past week. You can see some pics in the slide show on the right, or click here to see my bee-autiful little online photo album that gives the gruesome details! Since I've written about it in the album, I'll spare myself from writing it twice, and everyone else from reading it twice. In other words, read the album, folks! Positive feedback welcome, as always.

We had a great 4th of July! Daddy had to work, so the kids and I were a little lazy in the morning. I let them eat ice cream and soda for their morning snack ("Come on, mom, it's a holiday!"), then the kids and I played in the sprinklers in the back yard in the afternoon. Later we headed to the Coburns (thank you, Coburns--we love you!) for an Independence Day shindig. Good eats, great company (Bodily's and Lund's, we love you too!). The kids had fun jumping on the trampoline and chowing down on Jeffie's birthday cake. After the big par-tay, we were off to the baseball field to spread out our blankets and watch fireworks. B was done being impressed before they were halfway through, and O was complaining about being tired ("When is this over????"). But we had a great holiday and hope all our friends and family did, too.

Somebody Stop Me!!!!

I know, I know. I'm a picture-taking maniac. I can't help it. I HAVE NEW TEETH! I have a lifetime of angry-looking photos under my belt. Time to play catch up. Plus, my kids are kinda cute, too (in case you didn't notice them in the photos). I did some mommy/daughter pics. Gotta give equal time to the boys, ya know. They're so dang cute, I just love 'em (the boys, I mean). You can click here for all the pics of me/boys/girls.
